The Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform (SNETP) is delighted to announce the 6th edition of its 2025 Project Portfolio Webinar Series, taking place on 13 June 2025, from 13:00 to 14:00 CET.
This upcoming session will delve into one of the most critical areas in nuclear energy today: radioactive waste management. Attendees will gain first-hand insights into two innovative Euratom-funded projects that are advancing safe, harmonised, and efficient approaches to managing radioactive materials across Europe.
Project Spotlights:
- HARPERS (HARmonised PracticEs, Regulations and Standards in waste management and decommissioning) works to align and improve practices, regulations, and standards across Europe in the fields of waste management and decommissioning, enhancing safety and efficiency through harmonisation.
- EURAD-2 (European Partnership on Radioactive Waste Management – 2) continues the mission of the EURAD programme by strengthening coordination and knowledge sharing among national programs, supporting the safe and responsible management of radioactive waste across the EU.
This webinar is part of SNETP’s exclusive 2025 Project Portfolio Series, which highlights more than 35 Euratom-labelled projects representing the forefront of European research, innovation, and collaboration in nuclear energy. These projects play a vital role in shaping the future of low-carbon energy and ensuring nuclear technologies meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
