Join us for an unparalleled exploration of the latest advancements in nuclear fission, featuring an esteemed lineup of high-level panelists representing diverse sectors including industry, ministries, the European Commission, and renowned international organisations.

Throughout the Forum, participants will engage in dynamic discussions on key issues shaping the future of nuclear energy. The programme is packed with insightful sessions designed to foster collaboration and drive progress – from exploring the intricacies of the Italian nuclear landscape, to innovation and development in the nuclear sector, to understanding the central role of nuclear energy in decarbonisation efforts. Day 1: Exploring the Italian Nuclear Landscape

Day 1 of the SNETP Forum 2024 will begin with a high-level panel discussion on the Italian Nuclear Landscape, moderated by SNETP President, B. Salha, and the President of the Italian Nuclear Association, S. Monti, with the participation of prominent representatives of leading organisations. Join Gilberto Dialuce (President, ENEA), Daniela Gentile (CEO, Ansaldo Nucleare), Franco Cotana (President, RSE), Nicola Monti (CEO, Edison) and Prof. Marco Ricotti (President, Polimi/Cirten). Forum participants will then take part in one of the three parallel technical sessions on business strategies for SMRs, experiences and improvements in new NPPs or supply chain and cross EU fertilization.

Day 2: Boosting Innovation and Development

Day 2 of the SNETP Forum 2024 will focus on “Boosting Innovation and Development in Nuclear Energy” with a panel discussion moderated by P. Baeten (SCK CEN) and R. Adinolfi (Ansaldo Nucleare) and featuring leading representatives from DG RTD, DG JRC, IAEA, EPRI, ENEA and OECD/NEA.

A second panel discussion moderated by J. Stairmand (Jacobs) and M. Ricotti (CIRTEN) on “How can nuclear energy contribute efficiently to decarbonisation?” will bring together industry leaders from EDF, EDISON, ENI, Orlen Synthos Green Energy, SN Nuclearelectrica SA, and Vattenfall.

In addition, participants will attend parallel sessions on digitalisation (including cybersecurity), market demand for non-electrical energy products and innovative approaches to long-term operation (LTO) in the morning. In the afternoon, there will be sessions on business strategies for SMRs, nuclear solutions for non-electrical energy demand and decommissioning and dismantling including waste management.

Day 3: Spotlight on the Fuel Cycle

Day 3 of the SNETP Forum 2024 starts with a spotlight on the Fuel Cycle, moderated by Marjorie Bertolus, featuring dynamic discussions led by industry experts from NNL (UK), Framatome, Orano, and Newcleo, offering valuable insights. The day concludes with a closing panel on key stakeholders for SNETP led by Ch. Schneidesch (Tractebel – ENGIE) and R.Garbil (EC – DG RTD) involving distinguished speakers from nucleareurope, SFEN, WiN Global, and ENS.
