EUSEW 2026 Session “Strategic autonomy of the EU nuclear industry as a driver of economic resilience”
June 11 @ 16 h 00 min - 17 h 30 min
Co-organised by SNETP and Nucleareurope this session is designed to spark a concrete, forward-looking conversation on three interconnected challenges Europe cannot afford to ignore:
• Energy security: reducing strategic dependencies through diversified, competitive European nuclear supply chains;
• Industrial competitiveness: unlocking investment in established and innovative technologies, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and nuclear fusion pilot plants;
• Decarbonisation: the role of nuclear in supporting EU climate objectives and the Clean Industrial Deal.
The session will be structured around two “fire-starter” presentation rounds, each followed by open Q&A with the audience. Expect moderated panel discussions, live audience polling, and real dialogue, not just presentations.
