SNETP is proud to be a partner in the Skills4Nuclear (S4N) project, a Euratom-funded initiative (Grant Agreement ID: 101213280) running from March 2025 to March 2028. The project addresses workforce and skills shortages in Europe’s nuclear sector by fostering a long-term collaboration between industry, research, and education stakeholders.

Mission and Objectives

  • The mission of S4N is to ensure a skilled European nuclear workforce capable of supporting current and future technologies, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and fusion. Key objectives include:
  • Establishing a European Forum for Nuclear Workforce and Skills to monitor workforce needs, identify emerging skill gaps, and continuously update training programs.
  • Developing a European Nuclear Skills Strategy to attract, retain, reskill, and upskill professionals, with emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and gender balance.
  • Implementing reskilling and upskilling programs to enable workers from other sectors, such as fossil fuels, to transition into nuclear roles.
  • Producing recommendations and practical tools to promote nuclear careers, tested via pilot projects and made available to the wider nuclear community.

New Project Website

The official Skills4Nuclear website has been launched with full branding. It serves as a central hub for project news, events, and public deliverables. Stakeholders and interested parties can explore the project’s activities, resources, and updates through the site: www.skills4nuclear.eu

SNETP’s participation in S4N reflects its commitment to supporting Europe’s nuclear research, innovation, and workforce development, ensuring the sector remains competitive and prepared for future challenges.
