SUMMARY:POST- IRRADIATION EXAMINATION Workshop - ECC Smart
DESCRIPTION:The workshop (26-30 August 2024) will consist of theoretical courses and practical performances of PIE techniques. In addition\, lab tours and visits to relevant infrastructure\, including the research reactor\, will be provided. The 5day official program will be accompanied by social activities and a tour around the Prague city center. \nTheoretical courses will introduce the behaviour of materials under neutron and proton irradiation\, methods used for PIE and an interesting view into the real application such as the surveillance program\, LTO and fuel inspection. Lectures will be given by invited nuclear experts.The practical part will include work performed in hot cells with a special focus on new opportunities and challenges. \nYoung researchers and students interested in enhancing their research skills are invited to register for the upcoming event.
