DESCRIPTION:The next NUGENIA Technical Area 2 joint meeting of the TA2.1 (In-vessel Corium/Debris Coolability) and of the TA2.2 (Ex-vessel Corium Interactions and Coolability) will take place at the KIT Campus North at the Institute for Neutron Physics and Reactor Technology (INR\, Building 521) on February 13th-14th\, 2023. \nThe two days meeting will have the focus on sharing information on the on-going and planned research activities in your labs in these severe accident areas. Particular attention will be paid to active technical discussions and exchanges in the community. SUMMARY:HARPERS WP4 CIRCULAR ECONOMY WORKSHOP
DESCRIPTION:The HARPERS Work Package 4 workshop\, taking place on 22 February – 10.00-12.00 CET\, aims to establish a Circular Economy in radioactive waste management activities across Europe. The Circular Economy concept aims to minimize waste and make more efficient use of available resources through careful operations\, design considerations\, and recovering and regenerating products at the end of a facility’s lifecycle. The workshop will focus on identifying the most important conditions and opportunities for implementing Circular Economy principles in radioactive waste management. The outcome of the project will provide Member States\, the European Commission\, and other stakeholders with guidance on implementing Circular Economy principles and facilitating the safe reuse and recycling of materials. The workshop will prioritize needs and opportunities for Circular Economy considerations and define themes for deeper analysis in Phase 2. \nCheck the programme for details of each sessions here.
