DESCRIPTION:The H2020 PASTELS project will be hosting its Final Symposium on May 23rd-24th\, 2024 at EDF Lab Paris-Saclay\, France. The PASTELS Final Symposium\, as the final event of the project\, seeks to present the results of the project and its perspectives after 4 years of work.  \nPASTELS aims to significantly increase the knowledge in Europe on innovative passive systems\, particularly the Safety Condenser and the Containment Wall Condenser. The studies on these systems are carried out experimentally and numerically with different test facilities and computational tools from several European partners. In this context\, systems and CFD computational codes are tested to assess their ability to accurately model key phenomena such as natural circulation loops and condensation. Please follow this page for updates and confirmation of the dates. \nAt this event\, the Secretariat of the Alliance will reveal the outcomes of the Membership Call\, including the types of the members\, the sectors represented\, and the geographical distribution. Additionally\, the structure of the Alliance will be detailed\, encompassing the Governing Board\, the Technical Working Groups\, and the Project-Based Working Groups. Alongside the endorsement of the Governing Board\, the proposal for the creation of Technical Working Groups and the topics to be covered will be introduced. The consolidated eligibility criteria for evaluating SMR projects potentially supported by the Alliance will also be presented and discussed. SUMMARY:Nuclear Innovation Conference (NIC)
DESCRIPTION:NRG will be hosting the second edition of the Nuclear Innovation Conference (NIC)\, which will take place on 5-6 June 2024. After the success of the first NIC in Amsterdam on 8-9 June 2022\, which saw over 200 participants from 70 organizations and 20 countries\, NRG has decided to make the conference a regular event\, taking place every two years. \nThe conference is aimed at the nuclear industry and regulatory authorities\, and will feature a general plenary session on day one\, followed by three parallel sessions on Long Term Operation (LTO)\, New Build and Advanced Reactors on day two. \nTo find out more about the conference\, visit www.nuclearinnovationconference.eu\, or take a look at the recap of the first edition at www.nic2022.eu. SUMMARY:MIMOSA Summer School on MSR
DESCRIPTION:The Summer School on MSR is organised by TU Delft as part of the EU-funded MIMOSA project‘s training activities. \nIt is directed at PhD students\, post-docs\, young scientists and professionals seeking to acquire basic knowledge on the main aspects of the molten salt reactor technology and associated waste management. The programme will cover both scientific and technical aspects\, such as neutronics\, thermal hydraulics\, multi-physics\, thermochemistry of the fuel salt\, structural materials and corrosion\, and reprocessing of the fuel salt. \nFEES & REGISTRATION \n\nRegistration is free for participants affiliated to MIMOSA partner organizations (up to a limit of 40 participants).\nExternal participants will need to pay a fee of 160 EUR to cover coffee\, lunch and the dinner that is included in the programme.\nAll participants will need to cover travel to Delft\, accommodation and meals not included in the programme.\nTo register\, please fill in and send the dedicated form. TU Delft will review the request and confirm registration by e-mail.
