DESCRIPTION:The 5th International Symposium on Probabilistic Methodologies for Nuclear Applications (ISPMNA5) is set to occur in Tokyo\, Japan\, from October 7-9\, 2024. Hosted by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA)\, this symposium provides a crucial platform for industry experts and regulators to discuss the integration of probabilistic methods in nuclear applications. \nWith around 30 presentations and panel discussions\, topics include probabilistic fracture mechanics\, risk-informed assessments\, and the development of probabilistic modeling software. SUMMARY:International Workshop on SMR Safety for a Sustainable Short-Term Deployment
DESCRIPTION:The SASPAM-SA open workshop will take place on October 17th – 18th\, 2024 and will promote international exchange of information and practices related to light water SMR safety considering the outcomes from the current ongoing Horizon Euratom SASPAM-SA project\, other EU-Projects and other international initiatives (e.g. European SMR Pre-partnership\, IAEA\, OECD/NEA\, ETSON\, etc.). The workshop’s objective is to share the advancements of the current major research activities on light water SMR safety and give the opportunity to discuss the main results.
