SUMMARY:9th SNETP PROJECT PORTFOLIO WEBINAR – GEMINI 4.0\, PIANOFORTE
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 9th webinar in the SNETP 2025 Project Portfolio Series on 28 November\, from 13:00 – 14:00 CET\, where we will spotlight two key Euratom-funded projects. \n  \nThis session will provide updates on: \n\nGEMINI 4.0 (GEMINI For Zero Emission) aims to build a low-carbon future for industry based on the experience gained through the operation of HTR and knowledge of hydrogen production processes acquired in the previous H2020 project GEMINI+. The project aims to demonstrate that the GEMINI+ system can\, in addition to CO2 free process heat\, provide a global solution for the competitive and safe decarbonisation of industrial activities\, and confirm that this new form of poly-generation of various energy products does not negatively affect the safety of the combined plant.\nPIANOFORTE (Partnership for european research in radiation protection and detection of ionising radiation : towards a safer use and improved protection of the environment and human health) contributes to improving the protection of the public\, workers\, patients and the environment from environmental\, occupational and medical exposure to ionising radiation. By establishing a comprehensive pan-European scientific and technological foundation\, PIANOFORTE aims to support a robust radiological protection system and to develop consolidated\, science-based policy recommendations for decision-makers across diverse sectors that utilise ionising radiation\, both energy and non-energy related.\n\nThroughout the webinar\, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with the SNETP community\, ask questions\, and share insights on the future of nuclear in Europe.

SUMMARY:SNETP’s 8th Project Portfolio Webinar: SOCRATES & AMHYCO
DESCRIPTION:The SNETP Project Portfolio Webinar Series continues this autumn with its 8th edition\, highlighting two Euratom-funded projects that address crucial aspects of nuclear safety\, risks\, and accident management. \nThis session will feature: \nSOCRATES – Assessment of Liquid Source Term for Accidental Post Management Phase \nSOCRATES aims to fill critical knowledge gaps on the liquid source term during severe nuclear accidents. By developing absorbent materials capable of effectively trapping radionuclides\, the project seeks to reduce environmental releases in accident scenarios. In parallel\, advanced computer models are being designed to analyse liquid source term phenomena\, supporting industry\, safety authorities\, and the research community in strengthening nuclear power plant safety assessments. \nAMHYCO – Towards Enhanced Accident Management of the Hydrogen/CO Combustion Risk \nAMHYCO tackles the risks associated with hydrogen and carbon monoxide combustion during nuclear accidents\, which pose a threat to containment integrity. The project advances Severe Accident Management Guidelines (SAMGs) for both in-vessel and ex-vessel phases\, integrating results from numerical simulations and experimental studies. Additionally\, AMHYCO aims to improve the accuracy of predictive tools for explosion hazard evaluation\, providing practical solutions to further reduce accident risks.

SUMMARY:OFFERR Webinar: How to prepare your call proposal
DESCRIPTION:OFFERR is a European project by SNETP\, funded by EURATOM with a budget of €7 million to facilitate international cooperation in nuclear research. Its goal is to provide access to state-of-the-art nuclear infrastructures for R&D experts and channel the financial support provided by EURATOM until 2026. To achieve this\, the project has established a European User Facility Network (EUFN) database and an OFFERR catalogue containing 190+ nuclear research institutions all over Europe for which R&D experts can apply. \nThe project’s first call for proposals was launched on April 3\, 2023\, and is open to project proposals in all research disciplines and topics that align with SNETP’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Project proposals supported by other European associations and organizations acting within EURATOM framework will be also considered. More details on the call and application process can be found on the OFFERR website. \nIf you need further information or clarification for your proposal preparation\, please register for this OFFERR webinar on Friday 21 April\, 09:30 – 12:00 CEST.

SUMMARY:SNETPFORWARD Coordinators' Hub Day
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to share and learn in the EURATOM community \nThe SNETPFORWARD project\, funded by EURATOM and supporting SNETP activities\, is happy to invite coordinators of EU-funded projects under EURATOM to participate in the upcoming Coordinators Hub Day on March 14th at La Maison in Brussels. This event is the chance for coordinators to exchange ideas\, share experiences and learn from one another\, all in close collaboration with representatives from the European Commission. \nBest practices & tools for EU-funded projects \nSNETP provides a project portfolio service that labels EU-funded projects based on their strategy and pillars. It supports them in particular in their communication and dissemination activities. This day-long gathering will therefore provide coordinators with the opportunity to discuss best practices for overcoming common difficulties in areas such as project management\, reporting\, financials\, and more. With the opportunity to learn from your peers\, this is your chance to stay ahead of the curve and on top of the latest developments in the EURATOM community. This event offers the opportunity to highlight projects\, but will also focus on: \n\nAccess to information and specific tools for education and training (E&T) actions\, as all EU-funded projects must allocate 5 to 10% of their budget for this purpose.\nFocus on communication\, dissemination and clustering activities in order to develop a network\, leverage diverse experiences and identify best practices for future implementation.\nUse national contact points\, networks\, associations to support or complement project proposal.\n\nYou can find the detailed agenda here. \nWe encourage all coordinators to register here as soon as possible as places are limited and will be allocated on a first come\, first served basis.
