SUMMARY:23rd INPRO Dialogue Forum on Nuclear Energy Innovations to Support Net-Zero Transition
DESCRIPTION:The INPRO Dialogue Forum is primarily open to participants from the INPRO Member States. The forum is also open to other interested IAEA Member States and international organizations. \nThe purpose of the event is to provide a platform for Member States and other stakeholders to share ideas\, concepts and information related to current and/or emerging topics regarding nuclear energy system development and sustainability. \nThe International Project on Innovative Nuclear Reactors and Fuel Cycles (INPRO)\, launched in 2000\, aims to ensure sustainable nuclear energy development in the 21st century. INPRO\, endorsed by the IAEA General Conference resolution GC (44)/RES/21\, integrates all aspects crucial for nuclear energy sustainability. Its membership includes 43 IAEA Member States (MSs) and the European Commission. The 32nd INPRO Steering Committee Meeting in 2023 endorsed the organization of an INPRO Dialogue Forum in 2024 on various applications of nuclear energy as a sustainable energy source to mitigate the global climate change. To achieve the net-zero goal by 2050\, nuclear energy\, particularly from small modular reactors (SMRs)\, plays a crucial role beyond electricity generation. Nuclear energy can support hydrogen production\, district heating\, desalination\, and cogeneration. These non-electric applications are vital in reducing emissions from industries\, heating\, and transportation by providing clean alternatives to fossil fuels. This integrated approach is essential for comprehensive decarbonization efforts. The 23rd Dialogue Forum covers topics related to nuclear energy innovations needed to accelerate the transition to net-zero\, with. a focus on SMRs. This Dialogue Forum will include keynote addresses\, presentations by invited speakers\, and discussion sessions involving all participants.

SUMMARY:Europe Nuclear Energy & SMR Conference - ENES 2024
DESCRIPTION:Amidst European phased target of achieving zero emissions by 2035 and energy independence\, nuclear power industry is playing a vital role in achieving a sustainable and resilient energy future for the continent. Despite facing challenges\, opportunities for new nuclear power plant construction are arising in recent years\, notably with advanced designs like Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). Many aging nuclear plants present chances for life extension and upgrades. Advancements in fuel cycle & waste management also offer potential for reducing the volume and radiotoxicity of nuclear waste. Thus\, on behalf of the Organizing Committee\, I am delighted to extend this invitation to you for the Europe Nuclear Energy & SMR Conference 2024 on Nov. 13-14th\, 2024 in Prague\, Czech Republic with the theme of “Elevating Europe’s Energy Landscape with Nuclear Power: Secure\, Sustainable\, and Innovative”.

SUMMARY:World Nuclear SMR & Advanced Reactor Congress 2025
DESCRIPTION:After 16+ years of exceptional success and a stellar reputation\, our Nuclear Industry Congress Global Series (AtomToday-NIC) has firmly established its footprint across Europe\, Middle East & North Africa\, Asia\, America and more. \n\nIt’s my greatest pleasure\, on behalf of the Organizing Committee\, to welcome you to attend World Nuclear SMR & Advanced Reactor Congress 2025 (WNIC-SMR 2025)\, the FIRST nuclear SMRs & Advanced Reactor PREMIER event covered the whole worldwide market including Europe\, North America\, South America\, Middle East and Asia\, which will take place during Jan 22-23\, 2025 in London\, UK. \n\nAmidst the backdrop of decarbonization objectives and the imperative for energy security\, collaboration is essential from the highest levels of leadership to the operational frontlines all over the world. No government\, organization\, or business can fully capitalize on this opportunity in isolation. World Nuclear SMR & Advanced Reactor Congress 2025 will bring together over 200 nuclear industry influencers including utilities\, financiers\, reactor developers\, technology providers\, and regulators all over the world such as UK\, France\, Poland\, Romania\, Estonia\, Norway\, Sweden\, USA\, Canada\, Argentina\, China\, Korea and etc to unlock the potential of this multi-billion-dollar sector. \n\nAcross two days\, we will dismantle barriers\, offer strategic insights\, and provide practical knowledge to navigate challenges related to the supply chain\, resource allocation\, financing\, regulatory compliance\, and licensing requirements. Together\, we aim to jumpstart the deployment of SMR & Advanced Reactor technologies\, foster collaborative efforts\, and facilitate the transition of new nuclear projects from planning stages to full-scale implementation. Our collective goal is crystal clear: to finalize agreements\, secure market share\, and transform SMRs from conceptual ideas in meeting rooms into tangible business opportunities and groundbreaking advancements. \n\nThis congress is a “must-attend” for anyone who wants to stay current and on top of industry trends and developments. Meanwhile\, for those who are keen to find new investment opportunities or strengthen their presence in this market\, our two-day event will also provide a cozy platform to meet your future partners.

SUMMARY:Re-energise: economic growth beyond the Green Deal
DESCRIPTION:Re-energise: economic growth beyond the Green Deal \n\n11:30 – 17:30\nTuesday 18th February 2025\nEU Thon Hotel\, Rue de la loi 75\, 1040 Brussels\n\nRegistration from 11:00 \nREGISTER HERE\nEurope’s economies are struggling under the burden of regulation\, the cost of energy\, and dependency on foreign powers and companies. At the heart of this are environmental policies\, especially the package of policies that were the hallmark of Ursula von der Leyen’s first term: the Green Deal. \nIn response to criticism\, the Green Deal has been repackaged as the Clean Industrial Deal. But does this go far enough to address the problems Europe faces? Europe’s problems are vast: from failing policies at home to pressures coming from abroad. External problems concern for example Europe’s dependency on critical raw materials and energy sources that it needs to import\, while internally-generated problems include the inhibition of European enterprises by excessive regulation\, misallocation of resources\, and policies that increasingly drive companies away from Europe. \nThe roots of these problems are deep. This conference will address two areas fundamental to Europe’s success: energy and industry. We will examine both policy errors and potential solutions. How do we move beyond platitudes and seriously re-energise European economies? \nConference: Re-energise: economic growth beyond the Green Deal \n\nPanel 1: Europe’s economic reality and the impact of the Green Deal\nPanel 2: Powering European growth\nPanel 3: Re-energise: finding an alternative vision to the Green Deal\n\n
